This is a marine species.
Type locality: beach at Port Erin, Isle of Man (Index Nominum Algarum). Type: fig. 2 (Herdman, 1922: 26): fig. 60 (epitype) (Gómez et al. 2015: 133). Notes: at about level of low water neap tides.
