This is the type species (holotype) of the genus Tydemania.

This name is of an entity that is currently accepted taxonomically.
Syntype localities: [various in Indonesia] (Weber-van Bosse 1901: 139). Notes: Syntype localities: Kabala dua reefs (Makassar Strait); Saleh Bay (Sumbawa Island); de Bril, and near Fau Island ( Lagourge et al., 2019 citing Weber-van Bosse, 1901).

Noun (Latin), of the expedition; "expedition" is treated as a third-decelension noun, the genitive case of which is "expeditionis".
