Type locality: Yellow Rock, Lord Howe Island, Australia; (Saunders & al. 2006: 1595) Holotype: G.W. Saunders 002022; 30 January 2004; 16 m; UNB; (Saunders & al. 2006: 1595)

Thalli peltate and fluted, stipes occasionally branched; holdfasts with peg-like extensions into substratum; secondary haptera apparently absent with blades coalescing at plant margins to form coalescent sheets.
