Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Caulinia is Caulinia fragilis Willdenow.

This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Oceana serrulata (R.Brown) Byng & Christenhusz.

['Oram Meridionalem Novae Hollandiae'; suth coast of Australia]; (Brown 1810: 339) Notes: Lectotype (designated by Ferrer-Gallego & Boisset 2020: 178, or perhaps holotype): Australia, “R. Brown Iter Australiense, 1802–5”, R. Brown 5813 (BM [barcode BM000907122] (Ferrer-Gallego & Boisset 2020: fig. 3]).
