Mason, 1953: 341; Collector : N.L. Gardener 655 (INA). Lectotype: TRH, Gardner 655 (UC, 739464) on Acmaea mitra shell (lectotype chosen by Mason 1953); shallow subtidal (Steneck & Paine, 1986).
