Abstract:
Cellula parva, medio sinu late aperto, profunde constricta; semicellulae inter se dissimiles, habitu trapeziformes, anguli in aculeis solidis longis curvatis exeuntes, aculei omnes semicellulae superioris sursum curvati, at aculei semicellulae inferioris quoque in directionem eandem (= sursum) curvati; massa chlorophyllacea axilis, e laminis lamellae modicae in angulis exeuns, monocentrica. Cell small, deeply constricted in the middle, median sinus open, acute-angled; semicells distinct one from the other, somewhat trapeziform, all angles somewhat projected and tipped with a single, solid, long spine; spines of upper semicell all upwardly curved, those of the lower semicell less curved than and somewhat parallel to those of the upper semicell; chloroplast axial, steloid, monocentric.
