Notes:
A new species, Landsburgia ilicifolia (Cystoseiraceae, Phaeophyta), is described from the Three Kings Islands, northern New Zealand. This species is known only from very deep water, with the most shallow sighting of the species being at 38 m depth. The genus Landsburgia is endemic to New Zealand, with one widespread species, L. quercifolia, which is also present at the Three Kings Islands, and L. myricifolia, which is restricted to the Chatham Islands. The three species of Landsburgia can be distinguished from each other by the shape of the leaf-like blades and characters of the stipes.
