Abstract:
Results of investigations to the morphology and taxonomy of 9 species and 8 infraspecific taxa of the subgenus Acutodesmus (Scenedesmus, Chlorellales) are presented. In both natural populations from waters of the Elbe-Saale-district (GDR) and labaratory cultures the variability and significance of several diagnostic features have been studied and discussed. Some nomenclatorical conclusions are enclosed
