Abstract:
The first reports for the occurrence of Sphacelaria radicans (Dillw.) C. Ag. and Chromastrum kurogii (Lee & Lindstrom) Kuiper in Alaska are made. Infonnation on the occurrence of Coilodesmefucicola (Yendo) Nagai andDumontia simplex Cotton at Amchitka Island, Aleutians, is provided. Reasons are presented for regarding Pterosiphonia gardneri Hollenb. as a taxonomic synonym of P. Jwmata Sin ova.
