Description: Cells Ochromonas-like, dorsiventral, fastened in a lorica fixed to the substratum by a long stalk. Lorica hyaline, consisting of several annular parts, broadest in the upper part. One parietal band-shaped chloroplast, without stigma. Two contractile vacuoles anteriorly. Reproduction and cysts unknown. Found in freshwater, epiphytic on other algae.Only recorded from Czechoslovakia.
