Description: Asexual reproduction by means of fragmentation of colony or formation of zoospores; sexual reproduction unknown; zoospores formed by two successive cell divisions of vegetative cells, pyriform or ovoid, with one or several chloroplasts and two laterally inserted unequal flagella; stigma absent.
