Description: Ovoid, colorless cell, 18-20 x 12-13 x 6-7 _m, with single flagellum trailing backwards. Patterson and Zölffel (1991) consider C. mobilis a possible Protaspis even though it has only one flagellum. Freshwater or slightly brackish; Belgium and USA.
