Description: Long pluriseriate filaments made of sarcinoid packets, macroscopically resembling “Enteromorpha” morphotypes. The cells are uninucleate, possessing a parietal chloroplast without pyrenoid. Asexual reproduction by filament fragmentation into single cells by cell wall gelatinization. Zoospores and sexual reproduction not observed.
