Nomenclatural note
With regard to "Gloeonema" CDN has "See also Gloionema Agardh 1830. SVL gives Gloionema Ehrenberg 1856, p. 336 (ref. 000302)(non Agardh 1830). The only Gloeonema species in Ehrenberg 1856 is G. arcus, listed p. 333, and illustrated fig. 26 (according to SVL). SVL lists 10 species under Gloeonema, 9 of them described before 1856." According to ING, Gloeonema Ehrenberg is merely an orthographic variant of Gloionema C.Agardh. - (15 July 2018) - M.D. Guiry
