Description: Cells solitary, frustules in girdle view rectangular. Valves lanceolate to elliptic, valve surface flat. Raphe straight, external central endings simple, apical endings terminate in a subpolar position, axial area narrow broadening towards the middle, central area asymmetrical on one side of the central nodule reaching the valve margin, on the other side semi-circularT. ransapical striae biseriate, composed of angular areolae.
