Description: Solitary phagotrophic flagellate with a single stainable, discrete prokinetoplast (pro-kDNA). Recurrent flagellum free or mainly free from body. Cystostome apical. Cystostome–cytopharynx supported by a nonprismatic rod of microtubules.
