Description: Mucilaginous crust. Basal layer 1-2 cells thick, giving rise to erect unbranched filaments of cells of nearly uniform dimensions, loosely united by mucilage. Rhizoids absent. Female and male reproductive structures unknown. Tetrasporangia small, obliquely cruciate, borne laterally on erect filaments.
