Taxonomic note
According to CAS, "Name rejected vs. Arachnoidiscus Deane ex Shadbolt 1852 (nom. cons.) (see ICBN 1956, p. 200). Nomenclatural synonym of Arachnoidiscus Bailey ex Ehrenberg 1849 (nom. rej.). Ehrenberg abandoned the genus name in 1849 (Ber. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, 1849, p. 63) in favor of Arachnoidiscus because of a prior Hemiptycha in Entomology. Mann 1907, p. 267 resurrected the genus.
