Neotype locality: Julianehaab, Greenland (Adey et al. 2005: 1011). Neotype: Ryberg (as "L. soriferum Rosenvinge"); no date indicated; no habitat data on type. TRH C12-3179 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 435, 440). Notes: Neotype designated by Adey (1970: 228). Adey et al. (2005: 1012) note that the staff at Senckenberg, Frankfurt (Germany) could not locate Esper's collection in their herbarium.
