Type Information
Type locality: "Distribution: On Hormosira banksii growing in a pool at mid-tide at base of basaltic platform below the Residency at Waitangi, Bay of lslands. August. Endemic."; (Chapman 1961: 28) Notes: Protologue refers to a single gathering at Waitangi. No type mentioned although indirect reference to specimens in Lindauer's herbarium could be taken to refer to a type.
