[Drøbak, Oslofjord, Norway]; (Wille 1901: 3) Holotype?: on drifft Cladophora crystallina Rhizoclonium Kerneri; (Wille 1901: 3) Notes: "Epitype (designated here): The strain CCMP 258 cryopreserved in metabolically inactive state at the Bigelow National Center for Marine Algae and Microbiota, East Boothbay, Maine, USA" (Darienko & al. 2021).
