Type locality: Niinomi, Narutou-machi*, Sanbu-gun, Chiba Prefecture, Japan; (Nakada, Suda & Nozaki 2007: 409) Holotype (resin-embeded vegetative cells of NrCl-5): Mr. S. Tomizawa; 15 August 2003; Soil sample collected from a paddy field; Herbarium of the National Science Musum, Tsukuba, Japan; TNS-AL 161046 (Nakada, Suda & Nozaki 2007: 409) Notes: *Narutou-machi was included within Sanmu on 27 March 2006. The strain has been deposited in Microbial Culture Collection at NIES as NIES-1720.
