Type Information
Type locality: Switzerland: bei Basel; (Vischer 1933: 18, 21) Notes: Lectotype (designated by Darienko & Pröschold 2017): Fig. 4 in Vischer (1933). Epitype (designated by Darienko & Pröschold 2017 in support of the lectotype): The strain SAG 463-1 is permanently cryopreserved in a metabolically inactive state (cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen) in the SAG, University of Göttingen, Germany.
