Type locality: Gay Head, Marthas Vineyard, Massachusetts, USA (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 95).17 July 1934; Found very abundantly in Asparagopsis hamifera (Hariot) Okamura. (Jao 1936: 229). Notes: Type in C.-C. Jao collections and Herb. Univ. Mich., Woods Hole No. 272.
