Type locality: Gulf of Naples, Italy, Tyrrhenian Sea, Mediterranean Sea; (Amato & Montresor 2008: 490) Holotype: Figs 1-5: (Amato & Montresor 2008: 490) Notes: Holotype: Acid-cleaned material of culture AL-101 is deposited as grid and stub at the Museum of the Stazione Zoologica 'A Dohrn' in Napoli. Figs 1-5 (Amato & Montresor 2008) are based on cells from culture AL-101 and are designated as holotype.
