The type species (holotype) of the genus Chylocladia is Chylocladia kaliformis (Goodenough & Woodward) Hooker.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Coelarthrum cliftonii (Harvey) Kylin.
Type Information
Notes: Womersley (1996:59) notes that C. tenera J. Agardh is based on a single specimen of Harvey (or Clifton), named C. cliftoni by Harvey, in Herb. Agardh, LD, 25822.
