Nomenclatural note
"This species was described, with doubt about its generic placement, by Kützing (1843: 415) from Split (Croatia). Later, Kützing himself illustrated it in his Tabulae Phycologicae (Kützing 1864: 30, pl. 85/c-d). Ardissone (1883: 429) transferred it to the genus Dasya as D. rigidula."
