This is the type species (holotype) of the genus Bowiesia.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Delisea pulchra (Greville) Montagne.

Type Information
Type locality: "Hab. ad Novam Hollandiam, ubi legit D. Fraser." [Australia]; (Greville 1830: lvii) Holotype: Fraser; E; Herb. Greville, (Womersley 1996: 344) Notes: "Novam Hollandiam" (Womersley 1996; 344). Possibly Macquarie Island (Ricker, 1987), but opinions vary (see Millar, 1990: 382). Type: Greville collection, E (Bonin, 1982, figs 8a, 8b).
