Description
In culture on glucose peptone agar development restricted, colonies becoming
distinctively yellow when mature. Cells mainly globose 5-20µm (av. 10 µm). Endospores
variable in number, 3-14 or more; sporangia sparsely produced. Optimum
growth temperature approx. 14°C ; capable of growth at 4°C ; no growth at 24°C.
Habitat
Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) parr.
