The type species (holotype) of the genus Chlorellopsis is Chlorellopsis pyrenoidosa Zeitler.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Pseudomuriella engadinensis (Kol & F.Chodat) Fuciková, Rada & L.A.Lewis.
