The type species (holotype) of the genus Rhabdothorax is Rhabdothorax erinaceus (Kamptner) Kamptner ex K.R.Gaarder & B.R.Heimdal.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Scrippsiella regalis (K.R.Gaarder) D.Janofske.
