Type locality: outer part of Bilbao estuary (Abra de Bilbao), southeastern Bay of Biscay, Northern Spain, Atlantic Ocean; (Orive & al. 2013: 1197) Holotype: BIO herbarium of the Univ. of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU); permanent slide BIO-Algae4488 of the strain Ner-F1 (Orive & al. 2013: 1197) Notes: Isotype: TEM grid BIO-algae 4489 of the strain Ner-F1 (same herbarium as holotype).
