Type locality: MareChiara (MC: 40º48.5'N, 14º15'E) GON, Tyrrhenian Sea (Mediterranean Sea); (Siano, Kooistra, Montresor & Zingone 2009: 57) Holotype: Fig. 38: 31 May 2006; (Siano, Kooistra, Montresor & Zingone 2009: 57) Notes: MareChiara is a long term ecological research station in the Gulf of Naples. The stub of the SDC (serial dilution culture) sample is deposited in the museum of the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn in Naples. Type: MC716 in Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn: fig. 38 (INA).
