Type information
Type locality: Unalaska Island, Aleutian Archipelago, Alaska (Woelkerling et al. 2008: 267). Lectotype: [G.] Kastalsky; 1827; LE (Woelkerling et al. 2008: 267). Notes: Lectotype is illustrated by Woelkerling et al. 2008: fig. 1. The lectotype was collected during the Russian expedition of 1826-1829 on the corvette Seniavin under the command of the Russian naval officer Fjodor Petrowitsch Lütke.
