Syntype localities: Tristan da Cunha and Nightingale Islands, Tristan da Cunha; (Baardseth 1941: 82) Notes: As an interim solution, this species is lectotypified on an isotype in the Natural History Museum (BM:BM000610805, Egil Baardseth, no. 120) (Saunders et al., 2019: 116).
