Lectotype locality: Friendly Islands (Belton et al. 2014: 49). Lectotype: TCD 0011105 (specimen marked 77) (Belton et al. 2014: 49, fig. 9B). Notes: Syntype localities: Friendly Islands, Tonga; Nukahiva, Marquesas Islands. Syntypes: Herb Agardh 16809, 16811 (in part), in LD; BM;, 287054 in NSW; DSC01032, in TCD.
