Type locality: Iran, Bushehr Province, Kharg Island, Baghe Pire Mard basin (29°15'57.5"5N, 50°17'57.5"E).; (Rasouli-Dogaheh & al. 2023: 54) Holotype: June 2013; Rainwater basin on limestone bedrock, not contaminated with oils, covered with algal growth and macrophytes; Iranian Biological resource center, Algal culture Coll., Karaj, Alborz prov., Iran; IBRC-M 5007 (cryopreserved) (Rasouli-Dogaheh & al. 2023: 54) Notes: Isotype: CBFS A-96-1.
