Type locality: "in India orientali"; (Silva & al. 1996: 594) Notes: De Clerck (2003) notes that the type specimen could not be found in the Herb. Lamouroux (CN). The original folder contained an authentic, unpublished drawing of the specimen from which no identification could be made. [India Orientali] Indian Ocean.
Origin of Species Name
Adjective A (Latin), wide, broad; but also side, flank (Stearn 1973).
