Holotype locality: Orange Bay, Tierra del Fuego, Chile; (Leliaert & Coppejans 2006: 671) Holotype: M.P. Hariot; On rejected shells of Voluta magellanica; PC; (Leliaert & Coppejans 2006: 671) Notes: The holotype material consists of some shells with green crusts, but no filaments could be observed (Leliaert & Coppejans, 2006: 671).
