Nomenclatural note
"The basionym of this species, "Spermothamnion feldmanniae" ("feldmannae"), was first published by Huvé (1970: 13, pls. 1-2), but invalidly due to the lack of a Latin diagnosis. The name was later validly published by Huvé (1972: 72, pls. 1-4) in a paper in which the author confirms to not accept the distinction of Tiffaniella from Spermothamnion, stating that that the latter genus doesn't require to be broken up. However, notwithstanding Huvé's opinion, Tiffaniella was commonly accepted and Huvé's species was later combined under Tiffaniella by Gillis & Coppejans (1982: 220).
