Type species
This is the type species (lectotype) of the genus Hydrolithon.

Status of name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Hydrolithon boergesenii (Foslie) Foslie

Lithophyllum reinboldii Weber Bosse & Foslie

Type information
Type locality: Muaras Reef, East Kalimantan, Indonesia (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 114). Lectotype: [Weber-van Bosse]; 22.vi.1899; no habitat data on type. TRH A14-775 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 114). Notes: Type: Not designated. Two cotypes collections are cited from Siboga Expedition Sta 91 and Sta 240. Isotypes are in Rijksherbarium Leiden. This type locality was first recorded by Adey & Lebednik (1967: 32).
