Distributional note
"This species, after its description from Dalmatia (Croatia), was reported only in the following papers, but always with no description of thalli. In particular, Cormaci et al. (1986: 869, tab. 3) recorded it from Augusta (Italy) in a sciophilous community at a depth of 30 m.; Soto & Conde (1989: 72) from the coast of Almeria (Spain) at a depth of 1-5 m; Ballesteros (1993: 512) (with doubt) from Capo de Llebeig (Island of Cabrera, the Balearic Islands, Spain) at -80 m depth."
