Type locality: Point Hughes, Cabo San Lazaro, Baja California, Mexico (Taylor 1945: 163, 164). Holotype: W.R. Taylor no. 34-603; 7 Mar. 1934; Hancock Foundation (Taylor 1945: 163, 164). Notes: Taylor’s type is on sheet 172, including slides 1428-1431 (Dawson, 1953: 89). Type dredged off Point Hughes (Taylor, 1945).
