(Jost 1895: 451) Jost; common on Nitella; Notes: Ihre geographische Verbreitung scheint eine sehr grosse zu sein; an lebenden Nitellen habe ich sie
nicht nur in der Nähe von Strassburg, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, sondern auch im hohen Schwarzwald, im Titisee gefunden; an Herbarmaterial wurde ihr Vorkommen in verschiedeiisten Theilen Deutschlands, ferner in Frankreich, aber auch in Afrika (Senegal) und Amerika (Mexiko) constatirt (Jost 1895: 451) [Their geographical distribution seems to be a very large one; I have them on living nitellas not only near Strasbourg, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, but also found in the high Black Forest, in Titisee; of herbarium material was their occurrence in various parts of Germany, furthermore in France, but also in Africa (Senegal) and America (Mexico).]
