Description
Diagnosis emended by Hoef-Emden & Melkonian (2003: 395, 396).

Type information
Type locality: Lakes in Uppland, Sweden (Silva 1996-to date). Lectotype: Permanent slide taken from strain CCAC 0086 (epitype) (Hoef-Emden & Melkonian 2003: 395). Notes: Lectotype: Skuja 1948, Symb. Bot. Upsal. IX: pl. XXXVII, fig. 41; Epitype: Slide of strain CCAC 0086 and deposited at the CCAC under the designation CRYP.E.004 (designated by Hoef-Emden & Melkonian (2003: 395).
