Syntype localities: England: Surrey: Esher West-end Common; mill-pond E of ChapelWood, Puttenham, Thursley; Oxfordshire: NE of Goring; (West & West 1897: 503) Notes: J. Komárek & P. Marvan (1992) say that "West's original description is from Ireland." de Queiroz mendes et al. (2012: 1105) also cite Ireland.
