Type locality: USA: Washington: Griffen Bay, San Juan Island (Camacho, Sauvage & Fredericq 2018: 419). Holotype: growing attached to shells of molluscs in 10-15 fathoms. UC 229737 (Camacho, Sauvage & Fredericq 2018: 419).
