The type species (holotype) of the genus Spatoglossum is Spatoglossum solieri (Chauvin ex Montagne) Kützing.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Dictyopteris pacifica (Yendo) I.K.Hwang, H.-S.Kim & W.J.Lee.
