Distribution by country
Type information
Type locality: "Loo Choo" (Ryukyu-retto, Japan) (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 659). Type: TCD (Yoshida 1998: 377). Notes: Type locality found by Dawson (1959b: 7) considered to be an error for "Lemma Island" [Li-ma Ch'ün-tao], near Hong Kong. Yoshida (1988: 10) notes that the type locality was originally described as "Loo Choo" but that Dawson (1959) pointed out that this was an error and that the correct locality was Lemma Island, near Hong Kong. Yoshida (1988: 6) cites Hong Kong as the type locality. Tseng & Lu (1988: 30) cite Ryukyus, Japan as the type locality.
