Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Chroomonas is Chroomonas nordstedtii Hansgirg.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Rhinomonas reticulata var. atrorosea (Butcher ex D.R.A.Hill & R.Wetherbee) G.Novarino.
